Jacobs Ladder is a series of wooden steps leading from the beach up to the Connaught Gardens - which provides beautiful views of the coastline below. Beer Quarry Caves
Beer Quarry Caves has a 2,000-year history of quarrying Beer stone using virtually unchanged methods from Roman times until the last century.
Our guides will take you on an hour-long tour through the awe-inspiring caves, with their mighty halls of vaulted roofs and pillars of Beer stone which have been likened to a vast underground cathedral.

Sidmouth Toy & Model Museum
The Sidmouth Toy & Model Museum first opened in August 2020. The museum contains the collection of vintage and modern toys and models collected by Ian and Rebecca Gregory over a period of 40 years.
The museum is located within The Old Chapel, Chapel Street, Sidmouth, previously the Sidmouth United Reformed Church. Ian and Rebecca bought the property in 2017 and spent the following two years renovating the property, including a new roof, internal plastering, and redecoration. The result is a stunning environment in which to display the collection. The property was subsequently transferred to a Charitable Trust which also operates
Sidmouth to Beer Coast
Between Sidmouth and Beer the geology is strongly influenced by a gentle easterly dip in the layers of the rocks that are present. The result is that as you travel east the visible rocks change from those of the Triassic Period (230 million years) to the more recent Cretaceous (70 million years ago). This reflects the unique ‘walk through time’ that can be experienced along the length of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, of which this is a part.
